Using Laser Printers. It is against department policy to use department's laser printers for class assignments. Use line printers or other printers you have access to.

Final Project Proposals Due: : July 9, 2003 (10:00AM) (project discussions with the instructor should have already taken place and your project finalized much earlier than July 9, 2003 so you can write a good proposal)

Home Work I : Due Date : July 11, 2003 (10:00 AM)

Exam 1 : : July 21, 2003 (10:00 - 11:40 AM)

Closed book; One scientific calculator (no PDAs) and one single-sided 8.5 X 11 inch sheet containing various formula will be allowed. Attach the sheet you bring in to your answer sheets. Exam 1 will cover materials from chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of Stallings's textbook, ns2 and any additional material covered in class. An excellent way to prepare would be to understand the material (in contrast to simply memorizing); understand the implications of various formulations, similarities and differences among various techniques; solving the review questions and problems in the book; understanding and doing the ns2 programming yourself (in contrast to simply modifying the examples slightly and making them work).
