Changes in Computer Science Curricula and Programs
Effective, Fall 2001, the Department of Computer Science will offer its curricula and programs through the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Students who have already completed major/minor program slips prior to the fall semester may choose to complete their degrees within the College of Arts and Sciences or they may switch to the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
New students entering the university and matriculating for the first time during the fall semester (Fall 2001) cannot graduate with a computer science degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.

There will be no change in core program content at this time. Students graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences must continue to complete the Liberal Education Curriculum (LEC). Students graduating from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences must follow the University's General Education Requirements.
