OPNET should
be working on the windows machines in the open lab; access it from the
All Programs menu. ns2 should also be working now on the linux machines
in the open labs under /cs_common and you will need to run setup.sh script
to get all the libraries paths etc setup for you.

Home Work I : Due Date : September 16, 2004 (11:00 AM)
Project Proposals Due: : September 21, 2004 (5:00PM) (project
discussions with the instructor should have already taken place and your

a good proposal)
Home Work II : Due Date : October 5, 2004 (11:00 AM)
Exam 1 : : October 14, 2004 (11:00 AM - 12:15 PM)
Closed book, notes, and laptops; One scientific calculator (no PDAs)
and one single-sided 8.5 X 11 inch sheet containing various formula
will be allowed. Attach the sheet you bring in to your answer sheets.
An excellent way to prepare would be to understand the material (in
contrast to simply memorizing); understand the implications of various
formulations, similarities and differences among various techniques;
solving the review questions and problems in the book; understanding
and doing the OPNET/ns2 programming yourself (in contrast to simply
modifying the examples slightly and making them work).
Midterm Project Progress Report Due: : October 26, 2004 (10:00AM)
Home Work III : Due Date : October 28, 2004 (11:00 AM)
Home Work IV : Due Date : November 18, 2004 (11:00 AM)
Projects : : November 29, 2004 (submission,
presentations etc.)
