Prologue

I have been often dissatisfied in recent years with my ability to communicate broadly and effectively on a variety of subjects with colleagues, students, friends, and others.

Some of the reasons behind this include that the topics may be unusual to a classroom or committee venue, that the audience is hard to assemble or otherwise reach, or that the message has a level of detail that merits a written conveyance.

This set of webpages has been created with a hope and conviction that the internet technology might offer me an effective way to share ideas.

The materials presented here are a dynamic collection; they will be modified and augmented as time, energy, and inspiration permit. They are offered in a spirit of sharing and openness. I would be delighted to hear from any who might offer encouragement, criticism, or dialog.
