CS 454 Projects
The term project is intended to give you experience in:
- Working with a large system, eg installing configuring and using.
- Linux based systems.
- Getting information from the internet and local resources.
- Learning how to work together with a partner.
- Creating web pages.
You are to complete a single term project. Possible projects will be
presented by the instructor, and you may propose your own. Details:
- Most projects will be completed by groups of 2-3 students.
- Most projects will be linux based.
- The instructor must approve your project and its goals.
- You must have a project web page, containing: Title, Team Members
(names and emails), Abstract, Goals, References, Progress Log,
and Results.
- If you have problems with your project, and hit a dead-end
(which can happen), it is your responsibility to talk about it
with the instructor well before a project evaluation.
- You can get as much help as you need (internet, other students,
the CS lab, the Computer Club, the Instructor, ...), as long as you
are the one entering the commands and understand the details
when completed.
Be sure to give credit on your project web page for help you recieve
where credit is due.
Demonstrations of the project to the instructor:
- Evaluation 1: Before Midterm.
- Evaluation 2: Before Finals Week.
